OCR for Arabic text

I have a scan of a document with Arabic text. I am trying to run OCR on it. I cannot find Arabic in the list of languages under Enhance | Scanned Document | Settings.

I saw some posts online that state that Arabic is not supported and one that says that right to left languages including Hebrew and Arabic are now supported. I am not sure which is true, but I can confirm that Hebrew is now in my list of languages. Is Arabic supported? If so, how do I enable it?

As @Tariq Ahmad mentioned, the OCR feature doesn't support Arabic yet. You can add your voice to ours on this post here.

Hi @jmt111,

Thank you for your question.

At this time, Adobe Acrobat’s built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality does not officially support Arabic language text.

We understand that Arabic OCR is an important need for many users, and we truly appreciate you highlighting this requirement.

If you would like to request Arabic language support for OCR in future versions of Acrobat, we encourage you to submit your feedback through our official Feature Request form here: https://adobe.ly/4iCE3lY

Thank you again for reaching out and for helping us improve our products.
