Question

Open online pdf files in Acrobat DC instead of IE browser

HEllo,

I have a user who requires that the online PDF reports open in a separate window in Acrobat DC instead of in the web browser (IE11). I was able to configure this with Acrobat X but the option is absent in DC.
Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Hello Finally I found the solution after a bit of trial and error.

in the Edit menu go to Preferences (French term! perhaps configuration in English) then select Internet in the left panel and finally uncheck the option Display in read-only mode (Translated from "Afficher en mode Lecture par défaut")

Click OK and Voilà...

I hope the Support line people read this as I was told it wasn't possible!!!.

Search bar at the top of http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx to find an article on how to set which program opens which file

This is of no help as Acrobat is already associated with PDF files. To be clear : In Acrobat X and XI there was an option to open online pdf files in the Acrobat application but I cannot find the option in Acrobat DC Pro. Any help with this would be appreciated.
