Pausing of embedded videos in pdfs

Hello everyone,

I am a teacher and currently creating pdf presentations for my students. Sometimes I would like to include a video to explain more difficult stuff. Embedding the video is not the problem, it also starts, but I do not know how to pause it. Students need to write down specific parts of the video or need to replay it, but I do not find a way to allow this. I tried to insert buttons for this, but they do not work at all. I have no idea, what I have done wrong. The presentation was made in Power point (newest version), then saved as pdf, opened with Adobe Acrobat DC, where I inserted the video and the buttons.

I hope that somebody has an idea, what I have wrong and how I solve the problem. Currently I am exporting the whole presentation as a video, but this is not the perfect solution for me.

Best regards

Franzi
