Hallo,

 

ich habe nun leider auch die neue Adobe Reader Version 2023.003.20244.

 

In der vorherigen Version konnte man unter Einstellungen --> Allgemein "Dokumente als neue Registerkarten im selben Fenster öffnen" deaktivieren. Ich benötige die Fenster immer separat.

 

Wo ist diese Einstellung hin?

Stand 13.08.2024: Es ist mir völlig unbegreiflich, wie man ein Program von Update zu Update zu seinen Ungunsten verändert. Wenn man z.B. wissenschaftlich arbeiten möchte und Dokumente miteinander vergleichen möchte, möchte man nicht alle Dokumente in einem Fenster geöffnet haben, sondern separat. 

 

Stattdessen wäre es für die deutsche Version höchst wünschenswert, endlich den technokratischen Begriff "Registerkarte" zu ersetzen gegen eine lebenswirkliche Bezeichnung, z.B. "Dokument". 

 

Dringende Bitte an Adobe, die alte Funktion wieder herzustellen. Updates sollen das Leben erleichtern, nicht erschweren. Danke.

In Version 2024.002 this option does not exist anymore.

Is there a workoaround to open files in seperate windows without drag them?

    Hallo zusammen,

    ich habe Acrobat Pro installiert.

    An der Stelle. wo man die Einstellung ändern können müsste, ist diese Option nicht vorhanden!

      Wenn man im Menü die neue Reader Ansicht deaktiviert bekommt mann die alte Ansicht wieder wo man unter Enstellungen die Registerkarten auschalten kann

        I agree, the option to deactivate should be available again, otherwise I won't use the new UI 😞

          I agree, really annoying that is is not avaible anymore on this new UI.

          Deaktivated the new UI now, and I´m happy again!

          Hope you are doing well.

          The option to deactivate "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" from preferences has been removed with the modern viewer. This is an intentional change in New UI.

           

          Drag and separate the tab from the current window to open a PDF in a new window.

            Thank you for the reply. Still, very unfortunate that the function has been removed. I always need the files separately. Annoying.
