PDF font of same document looks different in diffent devices

Hi everyone,

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed on several of my devices (version 23.006.20320.0). In some devices, my pdf documents appear normal, but in other devices the same documents have a different font (pictures below).

I have tried some of the posted suggestions such as "Edit>Preferences>Page Display>under Rendering please select the option 'Use Local fonts'" or "Edit>Preferences>Internet> Deselect Display in Read mode by Default". However, nothing worked. I don't think the OS version is the issue as all devices have windows 11. I have also made sure Adobe is updated. It's clearly an Adobe setting that I am missing and it's driving me insane.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Hi @JinxyK

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Please share the PDF file in question so we can check it at our end.

Also, open the file on the computer having the issue and try the steps below and see if that works.

  1. Go to File menu
  2. Save As Other
  3. Optimized PDF
  4. Under the Fonts tab, check for any unembedded font and try to retain them
  5. Click OK

A font can be embedded only if it contains a setting by the font vendor that permits it to be embedded. For more info,  please check the help page PDF fonts, Adobe Acrobat

Let us know how it goes
