Using Adobe Tool Export Image in PDF to PNG to compare image sizes within PDF files, Adobe PDFMaker created images with much smaller file size than Microsoft PowerPoint Export to PDF.

I suspect image compression by either one of the following:

  1. Adobe PDFMaker even after setting Image Compression to OFF as shown below.
  2. Adobe Export Images to PNG

Since encoding is also reason for different file size, I am adding following question

"PNG (1) created by PDFMaker (2) from Export Image in PDF - how to know encoded level ? without using App?"
