    It's probably possible to write a script that will do it, but it's not a simple task.

    Another option is to show it as a percentage of the entire page area, but that too is quite a complex calculation because of how highlight comments are represented on the page.

      At best you could mentally or visually guestimate that. But there is no mechanism to display what percentage of text is highlighted.
