Previous Versions of Acrobat Pro

I work for a company that develops a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat.  We need to support this plug-in in any/all versions of Acrobat that our customers may be using.  Those versions include:

  • Acrobat X
  • Acrobat XI
  • Acrobat 2015 (classic track)
  • Acrobat 2017 (classic track)
  • Acrobat DC (continuous track)

I have a CC subscription to Acrobat Pro, but that only seems to allow me access to Acrobat DC (continuous track).  I don't see a way to download all of those previous versions of Acrobat.  I can find installers for these previous versions, but they all require a serial number which I don't seem to have as part of my CC subscription.

How do I install all of these previous versions of Acrobat so we can work on customer issues on specific versions of the product?

Thanks!

Hi erik55736421

Acrobat X requires a serial key and won't work on CC subscription you have.

Acrobat XI work on CC subscription. please visit Deploying Acrobat | Creative Cloud for teams Single App for activating CC subscription on Acrobat XI.

CC subscriptions would work fine on rest of the versions.

Ravi,

Thank you very much for your response.  I was able to get all of the Acrobat versions starting from XI working under the Creative Cloud subscription.  The only caveat I would mention for anyone else trying to do this is it seems to require having the Creative Cloud desktop application installed first.  If I didn't have the Creative Cloud desktop application installed Acrobat 2017 (the version I tried first) would start and then immediately exit without any warnings or error messages.

Hi erik55736421

Acrobat 2017 should work without any dependency on Creative Cloud desktop app. In this scenario the behavior would be that initial on first launch Acrobat will quit on launch and show a registration dialog to sign in. Please let me know if you are not getting the sign in dialog after Acrobat quits

You can buy Acrobat 2017. The others are not sold by Adobe any more - and there is no developer program for old version access. A great pity. Also note that the aftermarket is awash with fakes and malware laden cracks.
