Question

Print dialog for Acrobat Chrome extension

Chrome (version 119.0.6045.124) opens PDFs correctly using the Acrobat extension (version 23.9.1.0), but has recently started using its own print dialog rather than the extension's.  I don't have to print PDFs often, so I can't say exactly when this changed: within the last week is my best guess.

Reinstalling the extension has had no effect.
The destop version is working as expected, so "Open file in Desktop app" is a reasonable (if unsatisfactory) solution if this issue cannot be resolved and one still needs any of the more advanced printing options.
Any thoughts on why this is happening would be very interesting and gratefully received.

If Chrome uses its own print dialogue box, that means that you are opening the PDF in chrome, not in Acrobat. Check if the extension is installed and working.

What is your OS and exact version and the exact version of your Acrobat?

Hi Abambo

The extension is installed (and reinstalled, just in case) and it's working (as in it reads the PDF within the same new Acrobat UI as the desktop app) except for the print dialog issue.  The extension definitely did call up an Acrobat print dialog until recently, and nothing else seems to have changed.

The OS is Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.2428.  The Acrobat app is 2023.006.20360.  Acrobat is set as the default app for PDFs.  The desktop version is working fine (when I can find the buttons!!)

I hope this extra information is of some help.

Kind regards
