Question

Print restricted but commentable not working on iPad

Hello,

I've got the following problem: I want a pdf-file, that is print restricted but also commentable. I used the Adobe Pro Test-Version (I used also nitro but it had the same problem) for this. I disabled the Printing Option in the security menu and enabled the "comment, signature etc.-function". When I open the pdf-file on my notebook oder PC it works perfectly fine as it should. Can't print or edit the file, but you can use the comment-function and the pen. But if I open the pdf on an iPad it seems to be a "read-only-file" and everything is protected from editing. Is this a compatability problem?

I hope somebody can help!

Thanks

Remove the protection and it will work on the iPad.

Of course it works when there's no protection at all, but that's not what I need.

Then use Acrobat Reader on Windows or Mac.

Hi,

on your iPad, do you get a message when you tap the pencil icon to include comments?
