Print single page Word/Excel document to Multipage PDF

I rarely post on forums but I'm having difficulty finding an answer to this.

  • Say I have a single page Word/Excel/Text document and I go to print as a PDF
  • I choose 2 or more copies
  • My PDF always comes out just 1 page.

Is there anyway to get the PDF document to contain multiple pages of the single page document I printed? I did this manually in the picture below, but this is the output I want if I select 2 copies.

I could do it manually if it were a few pages, but we're talking 100's of pages a week by 4 individuals. I can get into the specifics of why we need multi-page PDFs if need be but I don't see anyway around it.

Thanks a bunch!

Jay

Thanks. Not what I wanted to hear but I'll look into it. I'm automating all of our excel PDF printing with visual basic and I guess I could add a reference to Acrobat and then duplicate the pages. Just not the elegant solution I envisioned.

It's possible to use a simple script to duplicate a PDF page one (or more) times.

The "copies" option is irrelevant when printing to a virtual printer.

Because you mention automation a heads up: Acrobat is not for sever use or use in a background task. It's an interactive tool - including the PDF printer.
