"Enable pdf thumbnail preview in windows explorer" is missing even though the program is fully updated and I also ran the repair utility. How can I fix this?

So reading between the lines ... upgrading from XI to DC seems to have worked wonders. Thanks all for helping. I appreciate your efforts greatly.

Thank you for your attemp at helping. Yes! I tried all at that link already - which is why I mentioned updating the program to the current level.

Still the problem remains that there is no check to enable thumbnails on the preferences screen on the general entry.

How do I correct this problem?
