Random yellow rectangles/white lines appear in TIFF to PDF conversion

We're converting high-resolution TIFF files to PDFs, and we've started getting some random yellow rectangles and white lines appearing in some documents -- but not others. (see examples below)

Any idea what's causing this? It doesn't happen on all our machines, but it does happen on some. We're running Adobe Acrobat Pro, v 2023.003.20269 (64-bit).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Can you share the steps you take to convert the files?

Do you run processes like OCR ?

We do run OCR, but we would do it after the pdf conversion, not before. Our process is simple: within Acrobat, we click to combine files; select the pages (individual TIFF images), and then click to combine them. That's the point at which these weird lines and rectangles appear -- but only for some of us -- others can convert and assemble the same pages without any issues.

thanks for your help!
