Report of Website Distributing Hacked Adobe Software with Malware

I would like to report a website that is offering cracked or hacked versions of Adobe programs. Unfortunately, these hacked programs contain viruses or malware within a password-protected file in the executable.

 

I am not seeking any personal gain from this report. My intention is to highlight the risks associated with downloading Adobe programs from such sources. I have personally experienced significant issues, including having my passwords stolen and receiving notifications from Microsoft, Meta, Google, and others regarding suspicious logins to my accounts.

 

I kindly request that the appropriate team at Adobe address this issue legally to prevent further harm to users who might be tempted by these offers.

    Thank you for highlighting this problem. Seeing much more of this lately, as "free downloads" turn into a money-making scheme.

     

    Pirated Software Helped a Malware Virus Compromise 3,200,000 PCs

     

    A trojan horse that infected millions of PCs and stole 1.2 terabytes of personal information was largely spread through illegal software, including pirated games and a cracked version of Adobe Photoshop, security researchers from NordLocker said.

     

    Inside the treasure trove of stolen data were 1.1 million unique email addresses, 26 million login credentials, and 6 million files stolen from the Desktop and Downloads folders on compromised systems.

    I think it's fine to post the name of such sites, so that if someone googles them they might find this thread and know to be careful... If all you see when searching for that name are good (probably fake) reviews, you're less likely to think twice before buying from it.

        Contradicting information, it seems like no one cares, and no one is doing their job probably.

        1- I spoke with 2 of the Adobe support team (the first connected me to the second saying he is responsible for handling such matters)
        2- I was advised to post this matter to the community (by the second support team member)
        3- I did as informed.
        4- "radzmar" says (Don't post links to suspicious sites or want to support them) = it seems like he didn't understand/read carefully yet accused me of supporting them.
        5- "try67" says (it's fine to post that, to spread awareness) = contradicting but great.
        6- "try67" removed the links = which is good but still contradicting and there is no awareness.
        7- now I am advised to report it to fraud prevention, (will do) please inform all support team members to advise the same to users in similar cases from the beginning.

        ** seems like all we do is talking talking nonsense and no one seems to be doing their job perfectly.

        ** and we keep on talking talking (carelessly) till it is our turn to taste the cake.

        3. Contact Adobe and complain to them. This is a users community, mostly.
