Request e-signatures doesn't work

"An error has occurred. Please try again."

"Access token provided is invalid or has expired."

I have reinstalled, rebooted, even unsubscribed and resubscribed... to no avail.

I have had to subscribe to DocuSign to get things done.

Please Adobe, it shouldn't be this difficult!

To resolve this issue you need to go to "Menu" > "Preferences" > "Langauge" and change the application language from "English and Arabic" to "Same as operating system" then if you close Adobe and launch Adobe again you'll then be able to go back to the previous setting and select "English" which will resolve the Signature button issues.

Seems like this is a common problem. Its the only reason I bought Adobe and I cant use the feature to email to others to sign a document.

Hi @daniel_8591,

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for reporting this.

Would you mind letting us know if you are on the latest version of the application (24.004.202xx).

You can check for updates by going to Menu-> Help-> Check for Updates.

If yes, and you still experience issues, you might want to try this. Go to Start Menu-> Registry Editor-> go to location:

1. HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\(product name)\

Add DWord bShowSignMenu and change value to 1.

If you are on a work system, you might want to share this article with your org's IT team to check if Request Signature feature has been set up properly on your account: Getting Started — Acrobat Desktop Digital Signature Guide (https://adobe.ly/3YQmKHC).

If none of this work, please share Network Logs with us to troubleshoot further. Steps found here: Capture Adobe Campaign SOAP traffic with Fiddler.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Dear adobe team, when I try to send a document for signature, it shows the attached error.

Adobe DC is uninstalled.

Temporary files were deleted.

I reinstalled adobe DC.

Error persists.

I just did a reinstall of Adobe Prof and I am having the 72% issue now.  Did anyone figure it out?

Hi there

We are sorry for the delayed response. please check the correct answer marked in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/send-for-signatures-hangs-at-72-still/td-p/11943472 and see if that works.

Hi team,

I have installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and am trying to request e-signatures but to no avail - it should look like the page on my colleague's screen, but all I can see is the fill-and-sign function without the request e-signatures. Please refer to the screenshots attached - we're paying for this Pro subscription service and it's infuriating how long this is taking given that it is a paid service, worse still that it's affecting my daily work.

Like the above, I have uninstalled, re-installed, restarted my computer and done everything I possibly could and I still cannot click the request 'e-signature' button. I would like to request for the contact of the Customer Services that helped one of the people here solve their issue please, and would appreciate if you do not send me a link to a outdated forum answer that is irrelevant.

Thank you.

Hi @Rayson324045316mdy

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. Also make sure the file is not secured or password protected.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.06.20320 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Yes, I am encountering the same issue. There are many ways to sign dobe documents, it almost seems computer dependent which way works. I'm not sure what to do, but our entire agency is switching to Docusign because of this. It is just unfortunate to have 2 software subscriptions when you should not have to.

Hi Amal,

Linked solutions provided come a 2018 and 2020 post, that might be no longer valid for this purpose in 2023.

For example one solution suggested to turn "Adobe Sign Manage" switch on in the Adobe Document Cloud.

That switch it's not longer there, since the user interface changed and that option might be somewhere else in the Adobe account settings.

The other one seem to be a signature related issue, but not exactly this one.

Is there a more recent solution for us with the problem above?

Thanks.

Same issue as Mirella27824901f1xb here,

how to fix?

It seems there's not a valid common solution for every account yet.

Yes --- the issue is still persisting. Adobe should just inform its users
that it does not have the e-signature function since it does not work.
