Scaling from custom size to 11x17 freezes Adobe on Flattening.

Hi,

We have a user that received a PDF from a client in 36x48 with markups. He would like to scale the document to 11x17. When selecting "shrink to fit" and setting the print to 11x17 Adobe will either freeze at a % for flattening or send the print to the printer and not print.

The current work around it using Foxit reader. Which prints the PDF without issue.

We have tried to print the document using several different machines and several versions of Adobe Standard.

Any suggestions?

I have gotten a copy of Rob's file and can duplicate the issues he finds. For the record, it is an exceptionally complex 11-page set of architectural diagrams from some CAD/CAM/Design software that uses transparency is a grotesque, unexpected manner.

Adobe will be working with Rob on this off-list.
