Send for Shared Commenting with Network Error- on Mac

Hi there- I have had this problem for probably a full year and am at my wit's end with this problem- so reaching out here in hopes I'm not alone!!

 

I have a problem when creating a shared review on my Mac. On the first page of the "Send for Shared Commenting" page, I have the "Automatically collect comments on my own internal server" chosen. On the second page I have "Network folder" selected and then the path to the shared network folder populated in the text box. 

 

When I click next, I get one of two error messages: 1) "unable to created shared folder" or 2) "unable to delete file: XXX/com.adobe.testfile.txt"

 

Has anyone else seen these messages? the testfile.txt message is the one I get more frequently than the other but it doesn't allowe me to advance to the next page and create the review. 

 

I really am so despereate to find an answer so please let me know if you have seen this before!

Hi Emily,

 

I wish I could say this is an isolated incident. I've been wanting to use this feature for years, but it's not supported on Mac, and it's not for lack of trying! This feature is not well understood or implemented. I'm so sorry. Perhaps an Acrobat engineer can chime in here and help.

    I have been able to do this in the past but I figured it was a problem with mapping to a network server? Maybe I need to re-map or something...
