Send for Shared Review/Commenting Hangs on Windows 11

Hi All,

Up until a few months ago, I was able to do a share review for my PDFs - where I post a PDF and more than one reviewer can add comments.
Now, when I ask it to do a shared review (where I save the file on our Sharepoint site - setup with subsites correctly), it just hangs...
I'm running a Windows 11. I'm running Adobe Version 2025.001.0577
I see there's a new, easier option to run, "Adobe Share"  but then our docs would have to be saved on the Adobe Cloud and I'd prefer not to share my documents with Adobe.
I think there must be some security setting that has recently been applied - but I can't figure it out myself.

How can I look into this matter? appreciate any help.

Many thanks,

Orly

Hi @Orly5E82,

Thanks for reporting this. We understand how disruptive it is when review workflows hang, especially when using Windows 11 in a managed environment.

This issue could potentially be related to SharePoint, network security, or firewall restrictions, particularly if the Shared Review feature is attempting to communicate with cloud services or internal document repositories.

A few things to check or try:

  • If you’re using SharePoint or a mapped network location for review, ensure it’s fully accessible and that there are no permission or connectivity issues.

  • Try whitelisting Acrobat’s services and endpoints in your firewall or antivirus software. This includes:

    • *.adobe.com

    • *.adobelogin.com

    • *.services.adobe.com

  • Check if any security software or endpoint protection tools are blocking script execution or shared location connections.

  • Make sure Acrobat is fully updated (via Help > Check for Updates), and test if the issue occurs on a different user account or local file path.

If the issue persists, feel free to share:

  • A screen recording showing where it hangs

  • Whether this happens with all files or just specific ones

  • If you’re on a corporate network or using cloud-integrated storage (like SharePoint or OneDrive)

In the meantime, you can try using Acrobat Web: https://adobe.ly/3H4QKt3

Let us know how it works.
