I have just purchased an Acrobat subscrition from SoftwareShore. They provide a download to install the software but when I click to open it I receive a message
"macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware"
Could the software be corrupt or is this normal for a subsciption based software download?
Thanks.

Was the download link from an adobe server? If so, it's most likely just a false positive.
If not, you should be careful and not install it. Get the installer directly from Adobe!

I keep seeing these ads on social media. The Creative Cloud offer is definitely too good to be true.
Sure the external reviews seem ok, and the comments in the actual ad thread are promising. Though their own staff has confirmed they use AI to moderate the comments by instantly deleting anything negative.
Adobe support have also told me they aren't accosiated with SoftwareShore and they aren't authorised to sell any Adobe products.
Be careful out there and remeber the golden rule - If it's too good to be true, then it probably is.

That macOS message usually means the app hasnāt been notarized by Apple ā not necessarily malware, but a sign it wasnāt verified through Appleās security process.
Since you bought the Acrobat subscription from SoftwareShore, a third-party vendor, I recommend caution:
Check if SoftwareShore is an official Adobe reseller.
Confirm the installer is from āAdobe Inc.ā via right-click ā Get Info.
Consider downloading directly from Adobe for safety and support.
If you're unsure, it's best not to open the file and contact SoftwareShore or Adobe support to verify its legitimacy.

That macOS message means the installer isnāt notarized by Apple ā not necessarily unsafe, but definitely a red flag, especially when using tools in secure systems like HRMIS 2.0.
Since you purchased from SoftwareShore, a third-party vendor, Iād recommend:
Verifying theyāre an authorized Adobe reseller.
Checking if the installer is signed by āAdobe Inc.ā (Right-click ā Get Info).
Downloading directly from Adobe.com to ensure full compatibility and security ā especially important for HRMIS 2.0 workflows involving sensitive employee documents.
For systems like HRMIS 2.0, ensuring all software is trusted and secure is key to maintaining data integrity and compliance.
