Tabs stop at Typewriter text in a form

I've created a fillable form with Acrabat Pro X.

I've got the tabbing sequenced correctly *except* that when you tab through the form, it also tabs to the labels I've entered using the Typewriter function.  (Probably not Best Practices, but it got me exactly what I wanted other than this issue.)

How can I get tabbing through the form fields to ignore the Typewriter text?  (I've tried various settings in Security with the same result.)

Thanks!

You're right, it's not the best practice to add text to a PDF file like that... And to answer your question: You can't remove these labels from the tab order. The only way is to flatten them, but that would also flatten your fields, unless you take some measures to prevent it.

Try using this tool, it will help you achieve that: UVSAR : Selective Flattener tool for Adobe Acrobat 8, 9 and X
