adding, Ive tried recreating the PDF, and Ive also tried other PDFs in other locations, and none of them can be shared.

I believe Adobe has an issue.

Certainly Souvik,  here is a screenshot of the error.  I have signed out and rebooted and there is no change.

 

I do see now on Adobe's System Status page that there are 2 Potential Issues.

So maybe they are fixing it.

Sure, Ive attached the PDF.  I tried to share it, and it creates the link, but after a while it says "This file can't be sent for comments".

I happen to have an old iMac next to me, so I signed into my Adobe account and started up Acrobat Pro.  With this I was able to share the file without issue.  But on my work laptop, where Im running Accrobat Pro DC I still cannot share.

Would you mind checking with a few troubleshooting steps:

1. Reset the Acrobat Preferences

2. Try repairing the application once [Windows Only]. Go to Help-> Repair Installation 

3. Try to work on a new admin profile on your device and check if it works.

 

Also, we suggest you check sharing the file for comments using the online tools: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/

 

Let us know if any of the steps work.

@S S.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I removed the prefs and still had the same results.  The online tools DID work! So at least thats a workaround that I can use.

 

Im on a Mac so the Windows only stuff wont work.

Great to know that the workaround works.

 

While you can share the files using the online portal, please reboot the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html, reboot the computer once, and install the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and see if that works for you.

Happy New Year!

Just to follow up, the very next day I was able to share files again like normal.   No reboot, no Acrobat Cleaner.

Apparently something was done on the Adobe end, but everything works now.
