Trouble locking fillable form after first signature, before second signature

New Here ,
Jun 06, 2023 Jun 06, 2023

I have created a PDF fillable form needing two signatures. The entire form needs to be filled out and signed by Person 1, after which the entire form needs to lock except the second signature form, which will be signed by Person 2 after reviewing the form. I expect this is where I use Prepare Form -> Fields -> Signature 1 -> Properties and select "mark as read only/all fields except." However, every time I select that, choose Signature 2, then click OK, the properties automatically revert back to "nothing happens when signed" before I even leave the Properties screen. Am I missing something obvious? How do I get the properties I want to stick around? Thanks in advance!

Hi @Rachel3033203772v4

Here's what you can try to get this function well.

  • Open Acrobat>help>repair installation
  • Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat installer from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Additional:

Acrobat and Reader official update  23.003.20215 is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates>reboot Acrobat.

More information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

Thanks,

Akanchha
