Unable to add signature

Just recently when I open a PDF to apply my signature the entire page goes black and nothing happens. If i hit ESC it goes back to the PDF...very frustrating! any idea what the issue is? I have re-installed already to see if that would fix it and it has not

    Hi 

     

    Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat . 

    Is  this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file ..if possible please share screenshot of the problem

    Version is 2023.008.20458 and this is what happens every time

    Thanks for sharing this is not reproducible at my end, if possible can you  please also share the sample pdf and steps  you are doing while you run into this. sorry for the incovenience. Also please update to the latest version  23.008.20470
