Question

Unable to convert PostScript file when trying to print

I'm on an imac, Ventura 13.2.1

Adobe Acrobat Reader 2023.001.20063

I get the error message when trying to print one PDF. I'm able to print a different one though. I've looked at the answers in this forum but saw none that work for this issue. For instance, I have no option to try to print the document as an image file. My printer is an HP 8025.

Thank you.

Hi @Wasp Rider,

Thanks for providing the information.

Could you please provide the following information:

1. Is the issue happening with this file only, or are there some other files as well

2. Could you please try printing the same PDF file with some other operating systems as well and share the observation.

3. Is it possible to share the PDF file with us?

Thanks,
Abhishek Ranjan Singh

I have encountered the issue with this pdf only. I was able to print others.

I accessed it via Apple's email. I don't access it from another operating system. I don't know how to change that.

Also, how do I share it?

Thank you.

Hi @Wasp Rider ,

Thanks for reporting this to us.

Could you please provide the following information:

1. What is the error you are getting at your end.
2. Is it a secured file, as you mentioned the problem is happening with one PDF file? Please share the
PDF file on which the issue is occurring.
3. Has the problem started happening recently, or has it been going on for a while.
4. What happens when you print the same file through different operating systems.

5. It will be great if you can share a video of the issue that’s happening at your end.

Thanks,
Abhishek Ranjan Singh

The pdf was attached to an email I received. I accessed it and tried to print directly from acrobat and also from File-Print. I've attached a screenprint of the document and also the error message from my printer.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

If you go to Acrobat => Document Properties, can you identify in the "General" tab, what is the PDF producer, and in the "Security" tab see what type of PDF restrictions are enforced (if any).

Just curious, Are you trying to just print or flatten the PDF document?

I'm not finding where I need to go to see this info.

I just get it when I try to print.

Thanks for your help.
