I am unable to find the tool to create full text index with catalog in adobe acrobat standard.  the catalog plugin shows as instaled, but not loaded.    Does it need to be loaded in order to use it?  How do I load it?   catalogue api is found in the plug_ins folder.

Correct answer Bernd Alheit

Creation of catalog index is a feature of Acrobat Pro.

You can create a catalog index with Acrobat Pro.

my company does not provide acrobat pro any longer.    I have acrobat standard DC.    does this mean I cannot create an index anymore?   why does it say the plug_in is cetified but not loaded?

I think you might STILL be out of luck, even with Pro. For many months, and even through THREE Macs and probably FIVE total formats -- one reformat a day ago -- and reinstalls from absolute scratch, I still get (for example):

Starting build of Index : /Users/tlmurray/Documents/AcroIdx/Chase.pdx
Error: Could not create folder : /Users/tlmurray/Documents/AcroIdx/Chase
Error: Index build failed
Deleting files from current index
Error: Index build failed

I uploaded a diagnostic log February 25 but not heard back.
