I am constantly unable to make pdf files from Word. I get the following message(s):

%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
Aptos not found, using Courier.
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%%

Stack:
-dict-
-file-

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

****

No pdf gets created. What is the problem? I have a full Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

Jasmin, try this:

1) Download Aptos font from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=106087)

2) Right click the downloaded zip file and extract the files to a folder of your choice.

3) Go to the folder you have extracted the files to.

4) Select all the font files (do not include the Word document) and copy.

5) Go to 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Resource\Font'.

6) Paste the font files in this folder (you may have to allow administrative priveleges)

You may have to restart Adobe for the changes to take effect.  Hope it helps and provides a permanent solution.  It worked for me, but cannot guarantee it will work in all cases or permanently since I am not an Adobe engineer :).

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Go to Print and select the Adobe PDF as printer. Then select Printer Properties. On the Adobe PDF Settings tab, uncheck the "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" box and see if that works.

This solution is only temporary Adobe. I have had to do this numerous times because for some reason this property resets and one has to select this all over again! I've mentioned this under another string as well. I pay for my subscription, I have run repair, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe on my computer, and this CONTINUES to be a recurring issue with the print to pdf from word document.

When will the distiller issue be permanently addressed/fixed?
