Unable to edit text and images

I am currently using the version 2023.008.20421, but I have been using older version of Acrobat.

In the older version of the software, I was able to go to Edit > Edit text and images to make a bounding boxes around texts/objects.

Now, with the new version of Acrobat, I, for some reason, cannot select some of the images that are part of PDF on the edit mode. If I exit out of edit mode, now I can select them, but there are limitation on functions when it's right-clicked, such as cropping the image or replacing the image.

Here's the example of PDF that I had these problems.

Acrobat has been very useful so far in my life and help will be appreciated.

Yes, it will work better when pasting with the Edit tool, and then you can use OCR (which does not work with Stamps, even flattened).

This document only contains stamp comments which are actually images, so it is impossible to edit them.

Open the comments panel to convince yourself.

Aha, I see. Thanks for your reply.

I wonder why my pasted images will be applied as a stamp though. I don't think I was on the comment section while pasting these images.

Any tips?

I think in order to paste those pictures correcly, I have to go into the edit mode first and then paste them, otherwise they'll become a comment.

Hi Cedric25170327dk8r,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please let us know if the issue occurs with a particular PDF or with all. Try to replicate the behavior with other PDFs.

Also, check if you can edit the images on the same PDF in the older version now. It would be helpful if you could share more information for further investigation.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Thank you for your feedback.

This happened to me when I pasted images on a blank PDF page. I think it has happened several times before.
