Question

Want to enable Automatic Updates on Adobe Acrobat 64bit

I'd like to know if there is command line parameters to enable auto update from deployment in SCCM?
So far I just have this msiexec /i "AcroPro.msi" /q

I would also like to know if there is a certain registry file path to follow to change  registry and what to do if my file path doesn't have certain folders/subfolders in the registry??

I would like to find out if it is possible to either enable auto updates during deployment or run a powershell script to change the registry any help would be nice. I would be doing this to 350 devices so manually checking for updates is not efficient.

Hi @adm_ls

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

Please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/deploy-packages-using-sccm.html and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal

Hey @Amal.

That article was not helpful. It only talked about quiet install. I am trying to figure out how to get adobe acrobat 64 bit to update automatically on 350+ devices. Either through the deploymnet itself with a command line parameter. Or SCCM third party software updates. Or enable it inside the registry be changing or adding a key. Currently I manually do this on each device, go to help and check for updates. This is not an efficient way when I manage so many devices. It would take forever to do this one by one.

Hi Amal,

How can we enable Auto update for Adobe acrobat and Reader application. i.e. once we deploy adobe on systems it should update automatically without any intrevention.

thanks

Hi there

Adobe Acrobat and Reader can regularly check for important updates and install them for you. These updates can include important security fixes and product enhancements.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is set up for automatic updates by default. It does not provide any UI option in the preferences to control this setting.

IT Administrators can control the update settings using the Adobe Customization Wizard or the Windows Registry.

For more info, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/automatic-updates---acrobat-reader.html
