I found this setting in the Acrobat Commenting preferences UI and can't figure out what it does. Any ideas?

Good question.  I was feeling like my comment list was too cluttered in that every time I highlight something, it adds an entry "Highligted Text" with an icon of a highlighter and leave instances of text comments (which are more important to me for the purpose of reviewing my notes) on the comment list visually less prominent.  I thought this option would remove/minimize instances of highlights on the comments list, but with this option checked/unchecked, nothing changes.
