I managed to get snapping by following the instructions here
https://windowsreport.com/fix-adobe-acrobat-reader-dc-not-responding/
I only did the Disable protected mode step (4) and it seems to fix it, no idea why it works and I'm hoping it doesn't break or leave anything overly vulnerable

I tried, but it makes no difference. No snap pane is displayed when I hover above the Maximise or Restore down icon. The only way to use Acrobat with Windows Snap now is to initiate the snapping from another application.

I have the same problem on Windows 11. It started after the upgrade to Acrobat Reader version 2023.003.20244 64-bit. Now, an Acrobat window can only be snapped if I start the snapping from another application and then choose the Acrobat window. Why was the Snap Window ability removed?

You can use the snapshot tool of Acrobat.

This is unrelated to the problem. See the following link for an explanation of the Windows Snap function. The problem has nothing to do with snapshots. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/snap-your-windows-885a9b1e-a983-a3b1-16cd-c531795e6241
