Writing on PDF

  Hi,

Is there any way to write on top of a PDF?

I know i can add a post-it, but then that is 2 steps to see it.

I want to write text above something on the PDF. Can that be done or no?

Open the Comment panel on the right and see all the tools available there. It's pretty self-explanatory...

For me it was the Tools panel.  Click that and then click comment. That is the path. Found it now.

I rarely edit PDFs so this is newer to me.

Don't guess what version you have... Go to Help > About Acrobat Reader and it will tell you.

Ok, is that different than the sticky note?

Glad i checked this site because for some reason i didnt get an email that there was  a response for this.

Yes, it is different. The Add Text Comment tool allows you to write directly onto the page, while the sticky note only allows you to write inside the pop-up window of the note.

it is version 2017.009.20044.

So how do i add comments. can you write out the steps for me?  also, can I underline things?

You can use the Add Text Comment tool to do that in the free Reader.
