Hello,
I am using Acrobat DC to combine files.
But whenever I click to combine files, it sends me to the browser version of the program.
It was not like that before and it is very annoying.
Is there a possibility to just do everything in the program without directing me to the browser version?
Thank you.
Jordy
Hi Jordyc,
As you have mentioned that you were previously able to combine files in the application, it seems that you have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC subscription.
The application you are using currently is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC which is a free software.
It is different from Adobe Acrobat DC and has limited access to tools.
You cannot combine PDF in Reader DC. It will always redirect you to the online service page to combine the PDFs.
Please open the right application that is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on you

If you are in Windows, please look on the Help menu for the first About item. It might say About Acrobat Pro XI or About Acrobat Reader DC, or other things. What does it say?

Thanks. This may be normal. You've got a subscription to something with Adobe, I think. Can you let us know the exact name of what you subscribed to?

What I was looking for was what you are paying for. The problem here is that you pay for the app Acrobat Pro (thanks, meenakshin) but you haven't installed it. So all you get is the features of the free Reader, plus a few add-ons. So you need to download and install what you paid for - and check it is used, if you keep Reader to confuse things...

It's super annoying, but for some reason, you have to install your "premium features" even if you have installed Acrobat Pro and have logged into your account with a subscription. I did this by clicking the little blue star icon beside the features I wanted to use.
