Hey all,
I'm trying to print a sewing pattern from acrobat reader, which has to be printed as tiles using the poster page sizing option. But when I go to print, the 'poster' button is greyed out and I can't click on it. I've got the latest version and everything and the file is specifically meant to be printed this way. Any advice?
Thanks!
In the print "Advanced Print Setup" dialogue box, make sure that "print as image" is not checked.

I can also confirm same as the most recent poster(s) that if you move to the paid Acrobat version (I just did the free trial) that it fixes the issue with all of the options being greyed out in Sonoma thereby allowing you to tile print your poster. I'm BEYOND angry with this for several reasons. If they were just up front about this feature being moved to paid-only, it would at least resolve the confusion and wasted time for everyone posting here. And if it's a genuine bug that is only present in Reader (vs Acrobat Pro), they've had almost a whole calendar YEAR to resolve the bug, but they haven't. Both of these scenarios are unacceptable from Adobe, ostensibly one of the largest software companies in the world. To add insult to injury, I can't turn on the TV without seeing another inane ad for their generative AI features which no one asked for, and meanwhile their longstanding products and features aren't even working. Make it make sense??

I am with you. I am so incredibly angry that I will hop on your comment to vent. These scammy, skeezy companies love milking us all dry for subpar service and a lack of new, legitimately useful features. Instead, they will just hide all the old features behind a paywall! I really encourage every single person who looks at this thread to stop wasting your money and stop using Adobe. If you keep giving them money, they will continue making their services worse and worse yet somehow hiking the price up! Money talks; use your voice!

meant to reply to a previous commenter, but the sentiment stands.

This was the only reason to have this application installed on my computer.
If it is truly disabled for only the free version, this is misleading and scammy. Not the first time Adobe has done this to me

I found the answer. Adobe does not currently support this in new macbook versions, as indicated when you go to Advanced Settings. It didn't work for me even when I bought the full product.
The workaround I found is installing an OLD VERSION of Acrobat Reader.
STEPS
1. Uninstall/Remove all adobe reader/DC from your mac
2. Go here and select Version 10.14 https://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions
3. Download, Install. Reset your computer if need be.
4. Yay, it works.

Took your advice and downloaded Acrobat Reader Version 10.14. I am trying to print a poster image across multiple pages and am getting a 'there were no pages selected to print' error message and it won't print. The print dialogue box also won't let me choose any pages at all. Any ideas on what's going on? Am at my wit's end right now.

Hey! That usually happens if the file has print restrictions or if it's not a standard page size (like a large custom size). Try saving a copy of the PDF or opening it in a different viewer like Foxit or PDF24. Also, double-check that the document isn't password-protected. Hope that helps.
