I already have Reader DC installed and I would like to add the Chrome extension after the fact. How do I add the extension or do I have to do a fresh install of reader? Thanks

    Hi Arejfour,

You do not need to re-install Reader to install extension. You can follow the below steps to install the extension:

    1. Go to URL "Adobe Acrobat - Chrome Web Store "

    2. Click on Add to Chrome button (if it says Remove from Chrome, you already have the extension installed but maybe disabled)

    3. Complete the installation when prompted

If the extension is already installed but disabled, follow these steps:

    1. Go to URL "chrome://extensions"

    2. Enable the toggle next to Adobe Acrobat extension to enable it

    Hi Arejfour,

As "TestScreenName" said, chrome extension wouldn't do much for you. It would only help opening the PDF in Reader.

The extension is not installed automatically with Acrobat Reader. If Acrobat Reader is the default PDF owner on your computer, you're prompted to install the extension when you launch Acrobat Reader. Once the extension is installed, you must activate it before use.

If you still want to enable it, then you may please refer to the steps here: Open PDFs in Acrobat Reader from Chrome

Not sure the Chrome extension will do anthing useful for you if you have only Reader. It's for people who pay for Acrobat, to make PDF files.
