Question

Adding content after signature invalids signature (only in adobe)

I have an pdf. I signed it, then I add another signature. The first become invalid because of changed pdf. This also happens, when I add the dss-information after the signature.

The problem is only visible in adobe.

All other pdf-verifing software say "okay". The pdf is okay, because nothing is changed in the byterange of the signatur.

What can I do make adobe verify it okay?

I added examples:

The eep_GdPicture.pdf ist the unsigned original pdf.

eep_GdPicture_signed.pdf has two invalid signatures (says only adobe)

When a signed document is modified after signing, the signatures become invalid. That's expected behaviour. Whatever other software you use, it's not working correctly.

But it´s an incremental update ... nothing is changed in the byterange of the sig ?!

If you change a document after signing, you changed the document and signatures need to get invalidated as the document is not anymore as signed.

No, the signed content of the document isn´t changed (the sig has a tag ByteRange [ ]) this has no changes ...
