Adobe Acrobat Reader DC crashing when right-click -> print on Windows server 2012 R2

running version 2020.012.20041 on windows server 2012 R2 on remote sessions

if I try to print a PDF by right-clicking a file and selecting "print" I get an application error and it crashes Acrobat Reader(see attached file). opening the files and printing them works normally, only the quick function to print does it.

our MRP is using that function to batch print the drawings for our works orders, so it's now horrible to have to open every drawing manually to print them.

I don't have any problem on our Windows 10 machines, only on the server.

edit: we found a way to bypass the problem: if we keep the program open before sending the documents to print, it doesn't crash

We have the most updated version of reader 2020.004.30017.

And we are using Server 2016, it is working fine with Windows10, just not on Server 2016. Hopefully you can create the same fix as above.

Thanks

Hi there. Could we get an update on this? Has Adobe had a chance to review Adobe Reader 2020.004.30017 when deployed on Windows Server 2016? We are still having the issue where the context menu "Print"causes Reader to crash.

HI again Meenakshi

We're still hoping for an update on this. Have you guys tested Adobe Reader 2020 Classic on Windows Server 2016? Do you need more info from us? We're hoping that Reader 2020 is a viable option for us before support for reader 2017 runs out in June.

Thanks.

Hello,

is there a solution to Ted's problem yet? I probably have the same problem, see forum post "Acrobat Reader 2020 crash after Print from Explorer".
