Hi there,

I think this issue has already been faced by many people from what I saw in the forum but I could not find any answer to this.

When I am trying to access the hyperlink in one of the Cognos PDF report it is throwing the error saying "An error occurred during the submit process.Unknown failure.".

I know it is quite common error but can someone please tell me the resolution if any.

Also if I try to access the online version of this PDF it runs fine without any issue.

Please help.

Thanks,

Hi Arti,

Sorry to hear that you are still facing the same issue. Would you please send one of the sample file to reproduce the same at our end?

Hi Arti,

As you have confirmed that the conversion went smooth online via- https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf  without any trouble.

Could you also confirm the exact version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are working on?

We have the latest patch released for the Adobe Acrobat/Reader- Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

You may check whether the your application has the latest patch installed or not?

Also, You can allow Acrobat and Acrobat Reader to contact selected websites by adding their addresses (URLs) to your list of trusted websites in the Trust Manager preferences. Alternatively, you can allow all URLs.

Refer to the following help document- Allow or block links to the Internet in PDFs, Adobe Acrobat

Let us know the result.

Akanchha

Hi Akanchha,

I am not sure what is the exact version of my software:

I could not find any such version in the patch list that you have attached in the URL Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

Could you please let me know which one should I choose?

Also I have changed the settings as per the help document Allow or block links to the Internet in PDFs, Adobe Acrobat

to allow access to all URLs and then tried to access the hyperlink again in my pdf report but again I got the same error so I think I need to apply the patch.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Arti

Hi Arti,

I apologize for the delay in response to your last message.

If you are still experiencing the same problem then, you may try installing the latest patch released in  Feb 2018 (18.011.20038) and see if that helps.

And if it still doesn't, then you may try uninstalling the application using cleaner tool- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And reinstall it- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Akanchha
