This is not a way to get tech support from Adobe staff. (And anyway, Adobe wouldn't talk to you about Reader issues). But the people here may be able to help anyway.
I wonder if you have checked
1. All the startup scripts are installed to the correct location (which may not be the same)

Yes, I've seen this happening to some people now. It seems Adobe unified the Acrobat and Reader installations, which is extremely confusing and is causing a lot of issues.
The 64 bit version of Acrobat Reader DC uses the same path as the 64 bit version of Adobe Acrobat DC.
