Adobe Reader DC opening within IE

Hello Everyone!

I am in desperate need of some assistance. Our company is in the process of wanting to disable the Adobe PDF Reader within Internet Explorer.

After googling i was able to find a GPO walk through on Microsoft's site.

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/11406.how-to-disable-internet-explorer-ie-add-ons-through-gr…

This works fine and dandy... but.. PDF documents still open within IE.

The only way for me to successfully make this happen is to have each one of our 1800 technician's manually go into IE and click on the disable option.  The boom it works.

Can anyone please assist?
