Hi Anu,
Did you try to combine files online here https://cloud.acrobat.com/combinepdf?
If not please try once and check if it works fine.
Please confirm if you are trying to combine files with Adobe Reader application.
If yes, please try to repair the application.
To repair, launch the application and go to Help menu.
Select "Repair Installation" and then relaunch the application.
Could you please share your Adobe ID in a private message.
I have sent you a private message, you can reply to that.
Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Anu,
As I have asked above, could you please confirm if you are using the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application to view PDFs or the Adobe Acrobat DC.
Please also share the exact dot version of the application. You may refer the steps provided over here Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC to check the dot version.
Did you try repairing the application?
Please also check if the application is updated with the latest patch released.
We have released an update on November 14, 2017.
Check if that resolves the issue.
I have sent you a private message, you can reply to that message with your Adobe ID.
If you do not receive the message, you can initiate the message from your end and share the ID.
Refer the steps provided over here How Do I Send Private Message
Let us know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Meenakshi
