Could you please try running Reader in compatibility mode and see if that resolves the issue:

Locate Reader's shortcut on the desktop>right click>Properties>Compatibility tab>check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows 7 from the drop down options>Apply>OK

    Hi jban1950,

Could you please try the following steps:

1- Check for updates- launch Acrobat>click Help menu>select Check for Updates.

2- If that doesn't work, try running Acrobat as an administrator- locate Acrobat shortcut on desktop>right click>select Run as administrator.

Could you please confirm the version of Acrobat installed on the machine?

To check the version of Acrobat- launch Acrobat>click Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat

Which Operating System is installed on the machine?

No updates and current version is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (15.020.20042).

    Windows 10 64 bit.

When I run as administrator, it does not start just hangs.  It is active in the task Manager window.
