Arrow keys restart scroll at beginning of document

Hello all,

I frequently work with very long (200+ page) PDF service manuals where multiple people will be using the same laptop together.  I tend to use 2 fingers on the touch pad to scroll through the document but my colleagues tend to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to scroll.

If I scroll with the touch pad to a particular page and the next guy uses the arrow keys, it will immediately revert to page 1 of the document for him.  Is there a way to have all of the scrolling continue from the currently viewed page?

    Not quite right.  The way we work is that I will get my laptop out and open the manual.  I will scroll through using the touchpad while reading through a procedure.  I will stop and get up to check something on the machine but leave the manual open on my laptop.  My coworker will come behind me and try to scroll up/down on my laptop without closing/reopening the document, just picking up where I left off.  As soon as he hits the up/down arrow, the PDF instantly goes to the first page.

    However it seems that setting the layout style to single page continuous has fixed my problem.  Thank you!!

    Hello Jon.Hacker.uc,

    As per the description above, I can understand that you want the PDF file to be opened by the other user on the same page were you left/closed the PDF and start scrolling, Is that correct?

    You can navigate toe Adobe Reader's Preferences from Edit>Preferences>Documents>Select "Restore last view settings when reopening document">Click OK>

    This will open the PDF from the last viewed page.

    If you wish to enable the scrolling by default for everyone for the PDF from start, you can navigate to Edit>Preferences>Accessibility>Override Page Display - Always use Page Layout Style - Single Page Continuous.
