And I have tried every password imaginable. Can't open certain PDFs. How can I get around this?

Since I am unable to open the PDF I can't go into Protect and turn off encryption. So now I have

PDFs I can't open. Anyone know of a workaround?

Even if you knew the password you can't remove the protection using Reader. You'd need Acrobat to do it.

The same thing. Contact the person or business making the PDF, and ask them for the password. You won't guess.

Ok, you just need to learn the password, from the document's creator. I am not sure why you are guessing, you won't guess in a million years.
