I'm trying to uninstall adobe reader. For some reason Adobe 2,3 and 4 show up on my macbook desktop but not in my applications. Everytimes i try to delete or move to the trash i get the message "The operation can’t be completed because “Adobe Acrobat 2” needs to be downloaded." even though I'm able to perfectly open the app so it must already be downloaded. I can't uninstall with creative cloud or a cleaner tool. The cleaner will run and say it's been a success but all 3 apps are still on my computer. Please help

Hi @vanessa_6031

Have you tried using the Acrobat cleaner tool from https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html#macintosh

Hello Vanessa!

I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the trouble, and the delayed response.

Are you still experiencing the issue while uninstalling Acrobat Reader? Install all the mandatory and optional updates for the OS, restart the machine and try again with the Cleaner tool. For testing purposes, create a test user profile with full admin rights and check with Acrobat Reader.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
