Comment view pop up

Guest
Nov 25, 2020 Nov 25, 2020

Whenever I open PDF files the Comment tool bar opens up.  this only started happening recently with files I've been using for years that this has never been an issue with. This is driving me crazy, I cant find a way to turn this off and this support community seems to be the only place that I can voice my concerns?

I just want the files to open without the comment tool bar popping up every damn time.

Thank you.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that the issue still persists.

Please try the following preferece settings and check if that helps:

Go to Edit > Prefrences > Comments > uncheck 'Show comments pane when PDF with comments is opened' and uncheck 'Automatically open comment pop up for comments other than notes' > Click OK and reboot the application.

Amal

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you want to open without the comment tool bar popping up.

Please close the comment tool bar by clicking on the small arrow and then go to Edit > Preferences > Document > Select 'Restore last view settings when reopening the documents' > Click OK and reboot the application.

Followed the steps, changed settings, closed the application. Clicked on a PDF document, and they are still opening with the comments section popping up.
