How do I now permanently remove that link?

Hi as61910309,

Assuming you have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1- Launch Reader>click on the pencil icon next to Storage

2- Click X next to One Drive to remove the account.

Below are the screenshots:
