Downloads being saved as Firefox html doc instead of PDF

Everytime I download a pdf attachment, it asks me to save as Firefox html document. And everytime I try to open the document, iit asks again to be saved. I am able to open by right clicking and choosaing open with and specifying ad PDF doc. But can I not have defaulkt saving of download as PDF? I am not able to se any option in Adobe Reader settings/General.

    We're sorry for the trouble you had, please make Adobe Reader as the default owner of PDF files, for steps please refer to the Adobe article Associate PDF files to always open in Acrobat or Reader on Windows 10

    To display PDFs in a browser, you can refer to the steps mentioned in the Adobe article Display PDF in browser Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Reader

    Configure browser to use the Adobe PDF plug-in to open online PDF files
