Correct answer

Troubleshooting what a pain

Have to take back my earlier statement about ALT+P this does create the problem of cannot print this document.

To desktop printer and also PDF print

If using the print button from the tool bar no problem

No more feedback from me

Have a great day

Looks like I located the problem

It is a virus that creates this issue. I am using Windows Defender and ran program off line and it picked it up.

Had to run windows defender 3 times offline and full scan to delete all the links of this virus.

It looked like it continued to change names. What Microsoft calls a multilink virus.

Since cleaning my system no more applications error.

Moral of the story do not trust that you have deleted a virus the first time.

Reading Microsoft WEB site there appears to many multi-link virus's .

Microsoft provides a variety of free tools to help with virus programs.

Thanks

You are right, this is definitely a Trojan in the computer. Even Defender could not find them. I ran Hitman Pro free for 30 Days. Not only scans an fines the Trojan but removes them for the 30 Day trial.

Hello Everyone,

You must try the following steps-

Run the repair for the of Microsoft visual C++ 2013 Redistributable(x64&x86) and try again.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features\Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 (right click and repair)

If it still doesn't work then, uninstall it completely and reinstall it again through-

Download Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Relaunch the Acrobat Reader

Let us know if it still doesn't work.

-Thanks

Hi georgeb13392266,

Please let me know what version of Reader you are using.

Try disabling Protected Mode under "Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced)" and check.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi georgeb13392266,

Please let me know what version of OS you are using.

Also, try checking for updates and repairing Reader from the Help menu and see if that helps.

Are you running as administrator?

If you are on Windows, then please run the cleaner tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs"  to remove all traces of Reader and reinstall the software from the below mentioned link:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Let me know if that helps.

Regards,

Anubha
