If you have Acrobat Reader mobile app installed on your phone via Play Store, please tap on the highlight tool from the bottom toolbar, It opens the PDF in Highlight mode, which displays tools for highlighting, underlining, strikethrough, and color picker.

I got an email telling how to highlight passages in my book.  When I click the Highlight tool as instructed, it shrinks the font so tiny I can't read it.  When I make the font bigger again, I can't highlight.
