How to disable "clear signature" in Adobe DC reader?

Hi,

I have created a pdf for digital signature and signed using Topaz pdoc signer software.

it all works fine until someone opens the pdf in Adobe DC.

We discover he can right-click on the signature and choose "clear signature".

We know that adobe works using certificate, but the document is already signed and we want to preserve this read-only version.

Question:

1. How to disable this "clear signature"?

2. If Q1 not possible then is there possibility of locking it somehow, or last resort using Javascript or something?

I have googled all night but i cant seem to find a solution for this. Thanks!

Hi Zulzaili,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue with certificate signature in Reader, is that correct?

You can clear a signature if you are the signer, that is, if the digital ID with which you did the signing is available to Reader. Refer to the following forum thread which discusses more:  how to clear signature in acrobat pro dc

Hi, I know this is an old post. But, did you get any solution for this requirement? Am having the same requirement now. We need to remove the "Clear Signature" menu. Once the user has signed a document, he/she cannot remove that signature.

    thanks for your reply.

    I am working on Adobe DC Reader.

    it is allowing me to clear the signature. and I want to prevent users from clearing the signature.

    The Topaz pdoc signer uses the same certificate for our various signers, and this is causing an issue for us.

    So when anyone login to Adobe DC, by default it will allow for this clearing of signature.

    How do I lock the pdf or prevent anyone from "clearing the signature"?

    Only the person who signed it can clear it, so this is not an issue.
